NEW PROGRAMS with EXTENDED DEADLINES!
NEC is now accepting applications for Fall 2009 admission to two new programs, with later application deadlines than our other programs.

Here are important dates to note on your calendar:
November 1: Deadline for postmark of January (Spring) admission applications
December 1: Priority deadline for postmark of September (Fall) admission and financial aid applications and prescreening recordings.
December 15: Deadline for Viola applications
January 5: Deadline for Orchestral Conducting and Artist Diploma in Opera
February 1: Filing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
February 1: Deadline for postmark of audition recordings for applicants not requesting an in-person audition
March 1: Deadline for receipt of TOEFL results for applicants who are not native speakers of English

We encourage you to visit our Web site often, as it is the best resource for information about NEC’s programs, faculty and performance opportunities. You are also welcome to submit an inquiry for additional information.
- Prospective students are encouraged to visit New England Conservatory. During the school year, the Admissions Office offers tours of the school Monday through Friday at 11:00AM and on Mondays and Fridays (only) at 2:00PM. Please call 617-585-1101 or email the office to reserve a place on any of these tours.
- Prospective students may contact many of the faculty directly by e-mail. You will find a link at the bottom of each faculty member’s biography for those who use e-mail. Faculty members without e-mail can be contacted through the chair of the department.
- If you need to find hotel accommodations in Boston, The Colonnade Hotel offers guests of New England Conservatory a discounted rate.
